I am looking to add a new ski to my existing setup. I like the Deathwish, Hoji and Jeffrey.
I want a soft-med flex ski to take out on fresh snow 4"-8" deep. What do you guys think would be the most fun with some pop and flex for playing around?

I have chronics for the park, PB&J for a daily, and the obSETHed for deep days. I love the soft and playful nature of the Seth's but they are not idea for the hard pack we get here on the east coast.

The Hoji is pretty stiff, and from what the rest of your quiver sounds like, does not really fit your style. The Deathwish and Jeffery are both great picks. Other skis that you should check out are the Nordica Patron, Blizzard Gunsmoke, and the Salomon Rocker2 108.

Thanks for the input. Really leaning towards Deathwish and maybe splurge on next years 122 Jeffrey. I might pick up the Bibby If the Deathwish sells out this year. Tax return will be burning a hole in my pocket.
The Hoji reverse camber just might be right for the trees, but if too stuff than it's not really what I want.
Not sure of I'm sold on bamboo, seems like it would be too damp but I would have to ski the On3p first. I'm sold on every pair of Moments I ski, just want something with more flex than my PB&Js.

Yeah try some out, see what you like. The Hoji's are awesome skis, one of a kind. But if tight trees are what you want them for, they aren't probably ideal, due to their long turning radius. Again though, I would demo them first, they don't ski like really any others on the market.

what's wrong wtih the PB&J for only 4-8" of snow? I have that ski and it seems like that's where the ski excels best....

Love the Moments just would like something with little more flex and float when the deep stuff gets heavy in VT. If it was west coast snow the pb&j would be fine.
We have so much moisture in our snow here that sometimes I want more ski when the snow starts to add up.
The obsethed kicks ass but after a resort grooms the snow they wash in the tail. That's where the deathwish or Jeffrey will come into the mix.

by "more flex" are you saying the PB&J is too soft or too stiff? in my experience, the PB&J's are not soft at all but thanks to their rocker profile are very "flexy" for lack of a better word. The deathwish is good but it's definitely a bigger ski. I have the Bibby and like it but it might be a bit of overkill for the east coast unless you're skiing Jay or something.

The pb&j does have rocker that makes it easy for buttery tail landing or for popping up I like a softer and more playful ski. I am starting to think the Deathwish is what I'm going with. Especially with On3p changing up the Jeffery next year. Who knows maybe I will pick up the 122 for Jackson Hole next year.

don't quote me because I haven't seen then in person yet but I'm pretty sure that the deathwish is the same or stiffer than the PB&J
