So I can throw 3s off small rollers and whatnot but tomorrow I'm going to try to throw one off my first like 10-20 foot jump. Any advice for throwing them on jumps versus rollers?
It's sooo much easier to do on jumps. Go into the jump confident and don't over anticipate the spin, you'll have plenty of time to get around. Pop then rotate, don't start trying to spin before you leave the jump keep your head and shoulders turn and spot the landing
slow down your pop when you spin and lead with your head come around 180 spot the landing and stomp it, keep shin pressure when you go off the jump and throw flat. when you land back seat its most of the time you rotated up off the jump a little and your spinning off axis by a tiny bit or you where leaning back off the ramp. hope i helped LEAD WITH THE HEAD!
When I was first learning them what helped me is to have somewhat of an athletic stance with my feet about shoulder width part, legs bent (ready to pop), and also leaning a bit on my shins. Its pretty much just popping and turning your shoulders/head from there.
Just come into the jump with forward pressure, bend your knees in the air. If your still landing backseat at that point, think of dollo and the stance he's go going on coming into jumps.
