I want to shoot iTunes in the face

Inb4 Mac vs. PC debate.

I've had a Macbook for about 5 years now and have never had a single issues with it. I've had iPods and an iPhone 4s and now a 5 since May, also with no issues. Until recently (really a couple of months). Again, this is the FIRST time I've ever had an issue with an Apple product since I got my 1st generation Shuffle.

My iPhone and iTunes won't sync. Any new music I add on my computer won't sync to my phone and vise versa. I couple of times I removed all my music and was able to add it again without any problems (just a pain in the neck). I went for it again tonight and now it won't sync.

I've searched all over the place for solutions and it seems like tons of people are having issues, but there aren't any solutions.

Anyone else having problems? Vent here.

Are both your iphone and your itunes associated wight the same AppleID?

I have lots of problems with my apple based lifestyle but haven't had this one yet.

I will be the first to admit it was a rash thread created in the midst of anger, frustration and bitterness. That said, after hours of futility it seems to be working again (not sure why) and all is forgiven.

This happened to me recently with my iPhone. Just restore the software and it should be all good

If you haven't deleted system32...

Hey man, pretty weird situation.

I can usually fix most issues i've ever had like this.

Sometimes the USB ports on computers get all fucky. Try following these steps

1) Get a different USB cord.

2) Restore/erase everything on your iPhone using a DIFFERENT mac than your own.

3) Restart your computer/check for update for your mac, iTunes, etc.

4) Now try syncing with your mac.

Source - My moms iPhone 4s was fucked. Every time she tried to restore it, it'd flash white and become unresponsive. Used my mac and fixed it.
Not to mention, my mac was charging my phone but not syncing it, found out my USB was partly broken (the sync lead had detached, but the charge lead was all good).

If you can't borrow a USB from a friend and don't want to spend a lot of $$ on one, they're $3 shipped on eBay.

Initially, I could delete with no problems, but couldn't add without restoring. Last night I wasn't able to add or delete. I don't care if I need to do things manually (which I tried), but shouldn't need to restore my phone just so I can add a new album.

Eventually (after hours of searching/trying different things) I was able to delete all my media from the phone. After a couple more hours of trying to get get it all back on my phone without success, it worked.

All my media is back and life is good.

didnt een read that thread but fuck the new itunes. it is so bad and unorganized for people with large libraries. i was perfectly happy running snow leopard and ios5 up until a few months ago. figured it was time to finally update...but FUUCKKK i regret that decision so much now.

i fuckin hate itunes to. i have a super old macbook that cant update far enough to get the new itunes and sync with my 4s. so the 50 bucks of music i spent went to waste. and the worst part is my brothers 2001 dell that takes half hour to turn on can download the new itunes. apple just makes it so you constantly have to update the os
