How to take off brakes on STH2 16 WTR

So today, my 4th day riding my sth2 16 bindings on one nose heavy switch landing which i wouldn't expect to eject, i broke both brake plates to the point where i cant even click in. I plan to just remove the entire brake part but i'm not sure how to do that. Any help?

Im pretty sure you have to remove the heelpiece off the track to swap brakes

I dont really know id assume you would have to screw out the forward pressure adjuster and then swap brakes and screw it back in and set your forward pressure. Unless your willing to experiment id take it to a shop or wait for someone with more experience.

You take the heel off the front of the track. You use the forward pressure screw to do this. Once off you can snap the brakes up and they just pop off. Put the new brakes into the tabs and put the heel on from the front again. Use the forward pressure screw to get the heel back on the track. Finally set the forward pressure an check the toe height and wing width.

Where exactly is the forward pressure screw? Ive never messed with the forward pressure, only din. I would take it to a shop but im not gonna buy replacement brakes for awhile so theyre not going to do it for me with no brakes

Taking it off is fine just make sure you get the settings checked once you put them back on. The forward pressure screw is the bottom screw in the track. Remember your taking the heel piece off the front so screw into it.

its sounding like you should really bring it to a shop to ensure your safety if you do not know where the forward pressure screw is or how to adjust the toe height. Im not trying to be mean, but spend the $10 to have them swap it.

I know I sounded like a complete noob, and anyone in their right mind would say what you said. However, a shop wasn't going to replace the brakes for me so I just decided to rock no brakes tonight...little did I know that you actually need them so you don't get all wobbly in your binding:( However backcountry is sending me a fresh pair of sth2 16s so it's all good.

Basically, I'm surprised more people didn't say what you did.
