J i'd like to see a ski for all the dedicated east coast skier's who kill it whether there's grass or snow on the hill. something that handles the park and the rare pow day. Never designed a ski before so if someone who has could put a design below it would be helpful. lets make this happen.
That's a dope idea,if j was able to make a ski for the ice coast that could kill it in any condition and kill it in the park,I think it's would be a super successful ski since no one has ever focused on an east coast ski that was specifically made for less that perfect conditions that the ice coast always has
What I was thinking was a balck topsheet and on the base, have it be black with a map of the east coast ghosted in. On one base have it say ICE MAKES US STRONG and on the other J Skis (in yellow) and THE ICE COAST
It would be nice if he came up with something totally unexpected rather than other "crowdsourced" graphic. I mean, FIRST and SNOWBOARDING IS COOL skis are fucking pieces of art!
Go check out Jason Levinthal's facebook page. Has a picture of designing his next ski.. tropic thunder. Looks like it has camo topsheets and either orange or another camo base.
I don't understand why/how an "east coast specific" ski would be any different from the hundreds of different models that are already out. Different skis are made for different types of skiing, just pick one that's already out that can handle both park and pipe.
you guys are talking about two different east coasts. there's the upper part that might get powder and actually have something to ski like trees, and then there's lower east coast where it'll go from manmade meh snow in the morning to slush central in the afternoon and then as soon as the sun goes down it's bulletproof ice time.
all i want is a park ski that's not too wide, less than 90 at the waist, has a smaller turning radius, fast base, don't really care whether it's symmetrical or not I can carve either just fine, and probably full camber or very little rocker for max ice grip when the time comes.
Nope, Hawaiian/tropical floral base pattern.
I jokingly said "Camo Topsheet with floral base pattern. Call it Tropic Thunder" and over 150 people liked it so i guess it's happening
