Trying to learn corks but I am unsure what one to go for first, a 7 or a 3. I have been told that 7's are easier than 3's and that 3's are easier than 7's and dont know which one to go for. I can spin 3's, 5's and 7's confidently. Any tips?
Personally i found it easier to ease my way to a cork 3, just slowly throwing myself harder into a mute grab until i was totally corked, and now i can throw them super easy.
def go for cork 7 first , once you have that down your air sense will be so much greater as well as your confidence and corks threes and 5s will come soon after. at least that was my experience. a real cork 3 of a good size jump is no slouch trick.takes way more air sense etc. spin seven drop that shoulder and reach for safety or mute or tail. i learned my cork 7s with tail grabs, seemed to put me off axis much easier, just make sure your letting go of your grab and spotting for the landing when your comming round past 540. good luck
I learned 7s first. They are much easier in my opinion. Think about it, in a 3 you have to get off and back on axis in such a small rotation. On a 7 you have much more time. As long as you have a strong, patient take off and spot the landing you will be totally fine. Go for the 7 on a good sized jump with a smooth transition and a steep landing.
Cork 7 just seems to come around for me, I have to work a lot harder for the 3. Just get on a jump you're comfortable with 7s on and throw your inside shoulder down and look at the tail of your ski. as long as you don't flail it should just sort of happen! Good luck bro!
