An interesting article by Outside magazine about why the author thinks snowboarding is a hurting industry and why skiing is superior from a longevity standpoint.

Lots of butthurt snowboarders in the comments of that article. To me snowboarding could use some equipment innovation, specifically the bindings. When I see boarders constantly on their ass buckling in, and standing in the lift line with there front foot at an awkward angle and their knee all twisted inwards, it loses the appeal to me.
