I'm 5'9" and I'm looking at buying a 189 Surface One Life. Is this too big even with the extremely large amount of rocker?

It kinda depends how strong your legs are.. If you have weak legs you probably don't want a ski that long

if you're 5'9, probably go with a 181 or something, try and go from your neck to your forehead. i'm 6'0 and ride Klint Primes 188. I like the longer ski just because i have a little more control on rails and grabs are easier...well to uh....grab.

I would go for the 179s were I you. 189 could be a bad time.

How old are you? Because if you've stopped growing, I would recommend a slightly shorter ski (low 180s)

a lot of this is preference to be honest, you have to find out what you like in a ski its different for everyone

dude no way haha... wait i think you said new lifes.. if so yea if you shred, because those be pow skis if not and there park or all mtn, hell no for your size, unless your upward of 170lbs then yea. your welcome

Then go for it but only if you shred if not sure go with 170-180 size
