help me ski switch

i have a similar probblem. whenever i try and float regualr 180s, at the point where im not far from landing i start losing control, i think its just cuz im totally switch, floating in the air. anyone know how to prevent it?

wait a little bit before doing your 180. the longer youre in the air going forwards, the less time youll have to freak out once you turn around.

dont turn around to look behind you till after youve landed and are skiing away. oh and lean foward.

i think the kid who originally posted in the forum is having trouble taking off, cuz he's talking about going off track doing SWITCH 180's. as far as advice for that, i'd say you just need to practice skiing fakie more and learning to stagger your feet and how to pop switch. be patient till you get to the lip and then just pop easy. you don't need a lot of spin for a 180.

when you are skiing switch try and keep your hips pointing forward...when you turn your hips to look backwards your feet turn and you come up onto edge....if you just spin from your waist and turn only your sholders you should stay on course into the take off

1st Learn to ski normal.
2nd Go in strait line,bomb down the hill switch.
3rd look over your shoulder not under.
4th Ski switch and turn switch.

This is how I learnt.And I teach switch(level 1).
It should take you about a year to learn.
If you still cant,take lessons!!!

Sorry but I was on the road..and I am leaving again to go skiing this weekend, but I do have one thing to say...you mentioned 'beating my fucking head in' I was just curious how you planned on doing that? I could give you my address and you could come over and try if you would like, but I doubt you would be willing to drive that far just to get your ass handed to you...internet threats are so hilarious. I will warn you though, if you were to come to my house be sure to come armed. Ever since I recieved my CCW I don't like being without my Kimber 1911 chambered in 45 ACP. keep your hands and eyes up, even more important when doing reg 180s. it can sometimes help to just get your switch turns first, then start working on tricks switch. i pop off my tails and rotate a little off the lip. so its kinda like a butter, and this works fine on jumps. however, when going switch off a cliff, wait till you have left the snow ot rotate, becasue you will catch your edge and land on your head like i did
when i was 2 my parents put me on a pair of sticks.....i have been running wild ever since.

dude, they have to be one of the easiest tricks, just go off switch... your body will turn automatically when you look over your shoulder

I you're having a hard time taking off switch, you probably haven't skied switch enough. You need to go out and ski the groomers fakie the whole way. After you get that down, then worry about taking off switch. And if you can't ski regular, you should probably work on that before anything.
