Best Parks in Midwest, Opinions?

I'm from the Midwest. I want to hear some opinions of other people from the Midwest. Like their favorite resort and why, and maybe some comparisons?

Cannonsburg in Michigan is great. They have 5 parks ranging from a mini park to a urban style park. There jumps are pretty good too.

I checked out their website. Cannonsburg's park looks 100 times better than most of the parks in Wisconsin. That is where i'm from.

Spirit mountain. It has two jump lines. One is made of 3 jumps, 50-60 feet from lip to landing. The other is made up of 2 jumps, 20-25 feet from lip to landing. And there's one money booter, it has about a 30-40 foot table but it kicks you up really high into a steep landing. It also has lots and lots of rails, boxes and jibs of different kinds, all set up really cleanly and nice. It also has a small progression park, for the kiddies or just screwing around. And there's this 10 foot tall snow cube. The park is always well groomed, and everything in it is well maintained. Its a really nice park.

50-60 feet is false, more like 40 ft. But the jumps are good other than the landings being a bit short. They have some goofy rail setups but some good new features. Some long rails which are super fun, and lots of variety. For sure check it out if you're near Duluth. Also Trollhaugen Wisconsin is fucking great this year. So many big rails, and a big hip. The rail lines are set up perfectly. And Mont Du Lac Wisconsin isn't half bad, they have some fun rails and change up the park weekly.

Bogus Basin Mtn Dew Terrain Park? Bogus Basin is a resort 16 miles away from Boise, Idaho. Great location! There are no little children standing in landings or parents encouraging youngins to hit da kickers. wonderful!!

i second this, every rail is so damn prime, they got this tube that is fun to hit fast. their jump line is off the chain too! massive 5s for days.

My friend that goes to iowa,state said it had some fun rails,always wanted to check it out I go to sundown and chestnut. Chestnut park is pretty good but its pretty short tho

I've experienced the exact opposite...kiddies stay in the small parks, the real riders in the big parks. It is 80% snowboarders tho, if you go on a weekday you'll log 70-100 laps on the rope tows no doubt

Best jib park in michigan (possibly midwest) hands down

I go to cascade mt a lot because its probably the closest to me, but they have a really shitty park. They have everything crammed into this tiny area, and they put the jumps in a place so you don't have enough speed for any of them. The biggest jump they could put is probably only like 30 feet because there's just not enough speed because its just located in a bad spot. And plus, the high speed main lift is right next to the park, allowing families and Asians to just stroll through not giving a fuck about anybody else. Im a huge fan of Devil's Head. I personally think its probably the second best park in wisconsin. (Granite being the first)

Perfect North. The easily take the best care of everything they have. They have a damn good park crew. Other resorts in Indiana/Ohio like Paoli, mad river, etc. have larger parks but they don't take care of any of it and by the end of the day, they park is shit. They have super hyped up comps, and there end of the year camp is so much fun because they take the sole resort and make it into one big giant park.

I am from Pittsburgh and ski at 7springs so I'm used to a pretty nice park and now that I go to Dayton in Ohio I was looking for a new place ski. I checked out mad river and had a pretty good day there. The features are good but they need to take care of the park better. For example there was a big tube and the lip was completely destroyed from the time I got there until I left. Oh ya and they need to paint there kickers. Well all 2 or 3 of them.

Chestnut Mountain, Galena, Illinois is rad. I go to sundown in Dubuque the majority of the time because it is close to my house. But Chestnut has an ill park. Great features to learn on and then the have huge stuff like a 45ft jump. At the end of the season they have a an x games style slope course with 3 50+ ft jumps. Place is super sick

Cascade used to have a wicked terrain park back in the day. Like seriously huge features. Don't know what happened.
Devils head is good but their lifts are old a shit, and really slow.
Granite Peak has the best park in the midwest hands down.

Perfect North is pretty dope, I grew up skiing there and they always have top notch parks (audition and the mini). And they always get pretty creative.

That being said, you couldnt be more wrong about Mad River Mountain. Every one of their park crew dudes loves to ride, so they take very good care of the parks, even when they are open until 3 am on the weekends. This year things have been super creative, with the lower park being switched up once or twice every 2 weeks. The jump line is amazing at the moment and you cant really beat the length of the park.

I love PNS, its home to me, but right now Mad River has such a better park.

you going for straight-up quality or size too?

-Lil Switz has the nicest-shaped jumps I've ever hit, and I've been all over the country.
-Granite peak will have the biggest jumps and most park acrage in WI
-I've heard great things about Tyrol Basin. Pretty sure they have a pipe too.
-The Rock is 100% park and has their own airbag.

Only speaking for Wisconsin here.

he might be talking about seven oaks, which had a pretty good park. When I was there they had a decent kick, fdf rail, flat box, couple flat/down rails, rainbow c rail(not set up well)

Sleepy hollow was pretty bad when I went. They had a decent down rail. other that everything was really small.

You think the burg is bad try Brighton, I guess there's talks of building a parking garage for all 250 feet of snow. Place is packed to the max absolutely every weekend. Back on topic, as far as SE Michigan, Brighton deff has the best park

Hyland Hills, MN. I wouldn't necessarily say it's the best park ever, but the amount of hot laps you get is unreal. No jumpline, but public Super kicker was pretty nice when I was hitting it this year. Somewhere around 50ft I'd say? If you hit Hyland in the mornings before the kids get there, everything is primo.

If youre looking for 50 9 year olds and 2 snowboarders throwing cork 9s might I suggest Sundown mountain in IA? They just hired a whole bunch of new park crew guys so its gonna stop sucking so bad, and I think they're getting a new snowcat too.
