Short and sweet- How do these skis hold up to abuse on rails? I've recently broken 3 pairs of skis and don't want it to happen to a fourth.

Haven't skied the Infamous yet, but given that it's basically a price point ski (retails for 350$) it might not be your best bet. I've ridden a lot of different skis in the past year and I can say with a degree of certainty that the Armada AR7 that I'm on now is the most durable ski I've ridden in the past few years.

Hm. I've found a really good deal on them, but I'm basically just looking for 1.5-2 seasons of use out of them. Would they hold up on rails for that long?

how much do you ski/ how hard do you ski

Probably ~30 days a year. I basically only do rails, but no big disasters or gaps. I'm fairly light on the skis, but somehow I'd had 2 pairs delam and 1 pair have an edge rip.

Maybe you just had some lemons, i have a buddy with the atomic infamous skis and he likes them and they have held up quite well. He's already been out 30+ days.

Yeah, well, the skis that delamed were notorious anyways. I just need a ski that won't break. If the ski preforms so-so or is somewhat heavy, I don't mind, I just want something cheap to thrash on that won't break.

I'd think so, but I've only had 9 days at the mountain so far this year (partly because of the breaks) and I've broken the 3 pairs in that time.

Do you detune your edges before you hit rails?

park skis are only made to last for maybe a season or two at most. Its all a business model to maximize profit to the companies. At least with major names. Go with a company like praxis skis or other smaller business where they cant afford to lose a customer or two otherwise the will lose their place in the market. Plus customer service is way better and if you have a problem they will strive to fix it.

if you buy the most recent versions with the rivets then you are good. their main problem was delaming

Yep so long as you get the current ones with the rivets you will be good. I have my pair quite some abusive last year and they held up well. They really are the best price point ski out at the minute. If you compare them to other brands price point skis they are of a much higher quality. Enjoy them if you get them.

K2 recoils and domains are both very durable, though somewhat heavy. ON3P also has a reputation for being bombproof.

This seasons will probably be more durable, but I wouldn't but last years. You can get last years Punx cheap and they're a lot more durable. I think around $300 on Backcountry and you can get 11% off if you sign up for Active Junky. Check your local shop though too, they might have some sweet deals for the summer.
