Timelapse picture size - t2i - Cs6

Editing Program - Adobe Premiere Cs6

I know how to make one, in the program. Got that part down.

My question is, do I need to re-size my photos before hand? I stick them into Premiere but they don't fit. I either get like a part of the picture, or go into some settings and fix it, but still end up with black bars on the sides.

Is there a preset I should set it to in the very beginning? A lot of my presets are not there since I ripped the program for free via torrent. If that is the issue, I will have to look for a fix.

Yeah, so it looks like I only have a select amount of presets to work with. Everything else is 100% good and working, just have a limited amount of presets to work with.

Do you render the time lapse first and then import it into the project again?
I usually do that so I can resize it to fit the project later on, photos are much bigger than videos captured on t2i
This only helps if youre shooting a photo timelapse tho, which i assume

So I have like 75 pictures, taken every 30 seconds. They are in a folder on my desktop. I just copy them all, bring them into Premiere, and then bring them into the time line. Once in the timeline they don't fit. I can nest them together, and they still don't fit.

But I usually export full size and then stick it in premiere scale it and do the movement in there.

This should solve the issue. There is a setting in preferences called "Default Scale to Frame Size," which determines how Premiere handles importing different resolutions. It will either keep everything at their native sizes (which is what it sounds like you are dealing with) or it automatically scales the content to match the sequence settings when adding to the timeline.

Well idno about premiere, i use final cut (i think they arebpretty much the same). I create the timelapse first, export it and import it again.
But you can also use a time lapse sequencer, that automaticly renders a time lapse into a .mov or whatever, which you can then bring into premiere. The above tutorial seems pretty legit tho

Easy fix:
Once in the timeline: Select all (CTRL+a), right click, select "Scale to Framesize".

Alternate solution:
Once in the timeline: Select one image, go into Effects Controls. Under motion, change the "Scale" (make its smaller than 100) until you get the desired size. The click on "Motion" effect and press CTRL+C to copy it.
Now select all the clips in the timeline (CTRL+a) and press CTRL+v to paste your scaling motion effect to all the clips.

Now I just need 2 more good time lapses with the right conditions and I'm set.

And I need to figure out how to film with a helicopter...
