Because it is fun and we have money? Sadly it is getting too expensive, but skiing makes it worth that extra effort to raise money with a shitty job. At least for me.
Just yesterday I got the first chance to ski in about a month (Shitty snow here in AK) and me and my friend sessioned a kicker. It didnt matter if I landed the run or crashed I would come up smiling because it was still so much fun.
Because this where the adventure all begins. I love the stamina it brought to me when I'm on the slopes. The fresh air that feels so relaxing makes it being one of a kind.
I ski because no matter what is going on in my life whether it be work commitments, life issues, girlfriend problems, schoolwork, whatever, I don't have to worry about it for at least a few hours. I can let everything go and just worry about catching the next chair. I dont care if I'm the best or if people are watching what I do, it's just a god damn good time.
Wow, lots of I's in there, very self centered activity.
Why I ski? I got nothing else. People around me dont really care what I do and where I am. It is a fantastic opportunity to free myself from responsibility and able to send without too much though of what is going to happen next.
No, but if you post a picture of Henrik looking like a dumbfuck making stupid hand gestures with his nappy dreads and rat tooth smile. I will not agree to the notion that is why I ski.
