I've recently had 2 pairs of skis delaminate and 1 pair have its edge rip out, so I'm looking for something that could improve the durability of skis that are no longer under warranty. I realize that delaming under warranty gets you a new pair of skis, but it cost me $100 between shipping and remounting to replace my first pair of delamed skis. I am by no means a 'rough' skier; I ski mainly rails, though nothing that would warrant damage to the ski (no huge disasters, huge gaps on... etc).
So what I'm trying to ask is simply what preventative/protective measures do you guys take to improve the durability of your skis?
The only things I have thought of so far is riveting to prevent delams and switching the foot on which each ski is skied on to prevent edge cracks.
