Damn that run was so sick. Really wish I grew up closer to a mountain and picked up freestyle at a younger age. Just being able to throw down anything on that course must be retarded fun.

This. HIs run was so smooth. The pretz 450 on his first two runs was smoother than anyones rail tricks (except maybe Tom's)... and still pretty damn good on his winning run. Also his jumps were smooth as hell... landing like he never took off. I actually kinda dig his style, it reminds me of Tom's in how smooth and effortless he makes things look... not to mention his switch 9 screaming seaman is so good looking. Overall I really enjoyed watching him ski. Mad respect for Nick after this x games... he looks like a super solid dude who just loves skiing... and works super hard at it as well.

McRae didn't look mad at all to me. He was actually nodding & pointing to Nick after his 3rd run while the judges were coming up with Nick's scores. Both of them absolutely killed it, as did Andreas. I think all of those guys have huge respect for each other, cuz they know how hard these tricks are to do. And hating on choosing to ski with no poles is pretty hypocritical for people who say they don't want rules to ruin the sport. Props to all of these guys who go out there & just slay.

Not a fan of the run. I appreciate the training that went into it but I dont like how robotic he is in the air. It's not that he's perfect its that it looks so forced

Your damned if you do and damned if you don't. All the hating on this kid is unreal. Wish him the best of luck in Sochi. Definitely a solid person to rep the USA.

it's because he's too good skill-wise so he makes everyone jealous while not offering anything new to the table style-wise. think of all the favourite comp skiers, they all have a very unique style (ie Wallisch, Harlaut, etc). Goepper is just beastly good without being unique style-wise and that just doesn't go over well for some reason.
