The etymology of the mythical 'Screaming Seamann' can be traced back to the legendary aerials coach, Chris 'C-Dogg' Seamann, of Winter Park Colorado. Seamann popularized the extreme maneuver in the late 70's when neon & ski ballet were the hottest things on the slopes. Although the triple twister spread would reign supreme, and maintain dominance on moguls courses until Johnny Moseley threw the 'heli-mute' heard around the world [prior to his MTV gigs, kids], variations of the 'Screaming Seamann' have re-emerged as a popular aerial maneuver in terrain parks.
Chris 'C-Dogg' Seamann can still be found manicuring, with shovel in hand, Winter Park's jumps.
