and for the record i studied economics, master in banking&finance. that doesnt mean i know shit, it just means that i am not one of the uneducated 12 yr olds.

first off, no system is "pure". there also never was a 100% PLANNED ECONOMY (communism =/= economical term). it is true that there is no 100% capitalist country.

but its just horribly dumb and oversimplifying to say that the US for example are run into the ground because they are not "capitalist" enough.

capitalism and the greed it promotes, and with which it is penetrated thoroughly, led to the 2008 financial crisis. which DESTROYED hundreds of billions. which is no problem for rich western countries, but the trickle-down effect destroyed lives in all these dependant countries.

i know that there was this "communist"-housing agenda which you will blame for the housing bubble. but that is just silly. uncontrolled banks and rating agencies shifted billions of dollars around. they knew they could get james-bond-villain type of rich with that "a roof for every american" policy. they manipulated ratings and didnt care for appropriate risk measures, instead resold financial products noone even started to understand until it was too late. they acted like you can bundle shit together and if you only take the top 10% of the best-smelling shit, that its all of a sudden shit no more.

i say, lets at least give another financial policy a try. a radically new approach, fair to all these countries we trample upon day in, day out.

and dont even try to start with "capitalism reflects the human nature best". horseshit. this is this pseudo-darwinist culture without foundation. beginning with darwins seminal paper, powerful people/countries have justified ethically unjust actions with their sociocultural "fitness". guess what? humans are social animals. we are not like tigers who only care for themselves and kill their own brothers and offspring. what made humans into this self-cock-sucking leader of evolution is our ability to work together, mask individual weaknesses and accumulate strengths.

another aspect. the earth is pretty much a closed system. if we exclude natural resources and let them flow into the system, they can explain a little bit of growth. but its a zero sum game overall. one country wins, another loses. capitalism, especially on a global scale, makes winners to winners and buries losers. that is not fair. its not communist. its not common sense. and its not human nature.

I dont see another economic policy option right now. Its too entrenched in our political system to remove without radical steps which would NEVER be supported.

But I do not agree with your view on self-interest. It is in our nature. If someone was going to shoot you or someone else, and it was at your discretion, would you not chose the other person? Now apply it to the financial area. If you had the option to make a million dollars and it would make one person worse-off, would you do it? Despite the fact we are more civilized than all other species, we still share the basic instinct of survival, and to survive, sometimes sacrifices need to be made.

Its a system that works.

However in our country its been broken by the greed of those at the top.

And our politics is fucked. If you actually like either party you are a complete fucking moron. The political system is rigged for both sides to be so awful and corrupt that your hatred of one of them will make yourself attached and affiliated with the other. Regardless of both being thieving scum.

Politicians and many public sector workers should be spat on and called out for being the leaches they are. And the right wing trumps them by conning people into shit like massive military spending and the war on drugs.

Still though capitalism works because it is extremely primitive and appeals to a humans most basic instincts. You can bet your ass that the way cave men or animals in the woods live is very capitalistic and not socialistic or such.
