Backflip tales:
[...] and they never got caught.
i tried...
btw my backflips on tramp use to look super bad, even tho I was trying to make them look super laid out with my head back and all. A coach at a supertramp place told me to get them tucked super well first:
Jump straight, even put your arms up to completely extend your body, THEN (do that when you're at the highest point of your jump) tuck without putting your head back, almost with your chin touching your neck. I know this sounds exactly like what you DON'T wanna do, but once you get that perfect, do the same thing without tucking, spotting the landing at ¾ of the jump, and THEN pull your head back to make it look even more steazy. It will be much easier because you'll know how to throw it laid out with your head straight. Putting your head back shouldn't affect the rotation, it's just to look cooler and spot the landing earlier.
If you're still having trouble on skis after that, really try to go big and start spinning once you're in the air, not at the end of the jump.
hope that helps
