Line Skis Snapping...

Started my season with some new line Blends from last season. After 4 days of riding I was shocked to find that the tail had snapped from doing butters.... They were never abused and in great condition and  then out of no where the ski gave out from bending it around while skiing.
  Now I've learned Line will not replace it because I bought it off Newschoolers even though they were brand new still wrapped.
So If ANYONE wants to loan me some skis I'd greatly appreciate it.

If you are in salt lake city you can borrow my ghetto fab arvs that are held together with hopes and dreams plus some support of duck tape.

No company will warranty a product if you're not the original purchaser, even if your ski was unused.

And sorry about your ski, that's really sad.

Similar thing happened to my bacons, except much further back on the tail. I bought them online new in the wrapper and put only 3 days on them before it happened. Luckily I was able to kind of fix them with some clamps and epoxy, but its still noticeable. I don't think you will have such luck

I'll always shop local, but when good deals come up I can't help it. Rather be paying 400 on blends then 600 in store

that 200 dollars was your warranty, just saying. That said, it's shitty luck and I do feel bad for you.

Those skis are known for breaking at that exact point in the nose and the tail, it's the new macroblock light core or whatever its called. It's a poor design.

This exact problem happened this weekend to a friend, his tail snapped from landing too backseat with high dins. There is no way that there should be so little force required to break the skis that they snap before the bindings release, I think that either the cause is a manufacturing defect or just poor quality manufacturing overall.

Yeah I figured that same, but Line still won't stand up for there mistake and fix/replace the obviously defected ski. That or it really was a extremely poor design... looks likethe Afterbangs weren't there only mistake.

The blends and the master minds were made to be very light so I think it's because they are layered lighter= less support, just my thoughts

I am pretty certain in the case of the blends, it's a design issue. They are so light and so soft in the nose and tail, then they suddenly stiffen up about 40cm down the ski. Snapping them at that point of flex change is pretty much inescapable in the long run.

They are super fun skis, but flawed.

Yeah, I had a pair of Masterminds that delamed in 5 days of skiing and once I got them warrantied the new pair delamed in 2 days on snow. Not exactly pleased...

I'm out in whistler for a season and out of about 4 people i ski with with line 2 of them have snapped, also if Line don't replace these that is awful customer service won't be buying from them again after the amount of snaps I've seen!

They'll warranty them if you have a receipt and within a year of purchase.... but if my product broke unexpectedly from normal use and bend I would replace no matter what.

I feel like nobody reads that, "warranties" sticky in this forum anymore Buttering is abnormal use, Rails are abnormal use, Jumps in most cases, They'll all void any sort of warranty claim

Pretty much this, as far as any manufacture is concerned, skis are meant to make turns on snow and never touch anything else or leave the ground. Clearly something wasn't right with those blends, or you are leaving out a crucial bit of info which you wouldn't be the first person to do so. Shit sucks, but so do crappy skis made in china.
