Can cuff alignment/canting fix internal boot problems (ie shinbang)? Or just how flat skis lay?

There. I know cuff alignment / canting (don't want a debate, I'm talking about the dials near the ankle of each boot.) affects how flat the skis lay, compensating for knock-knees or bow-leggedness... But can it affect internal issues? Could it be a cause of shinbang or other problems?

Sorry I've been posting here in gear talk about boots so much lately. Not gonna lie, in the research I've been doing I've found that I'm fascinated by the sciences behind bootfitting, how a slight footbed adjustment can fix problems all the way up to your back and stuff...

Cuff alignment will have very little to no effect on shin problems. Most shin pain is caused by not having sufficient surport in the boot, ie no custom footbeds or too much space in the shell especially over the instep.

As Tom said, cuff alignment does not really change how the foot sits in the boot. It primarily changes how the cuff meets the leg, and usually this is done to improve comfort. You match the cuff to the curve of the leg.

If you want to adjust the internal fit, a footbed or footbed + boot board modification is the way to go.
