hey all, this is my first post to newschoolers.
I live on the west coast (las vegas, nevada to be exact.) I'm 18 and 5'10". I've been skiing for about 7 years now, and I'm very comfortable with skiing. This season, I've gotten into park skiing up at the local mountain and I want to start really pursuing it. I can hit small to medium kickers and land comfortably, and I can jib rails decently now. Currently, I'm riding 170 k2 force apache's, but I want to get some park twin tips so I can really progress and ski switch , butter, and all that steezy stuff. I've been looking at some armada, 4frnt, and line skis, but I don't really know where to go from there.
from what I've found, I should be riding anything from 175-185, but outside of that I don't know what skis to get. I've been thinking some afterbangs, traveling circus, or maybe some al dente's or ar7's. but then again, I know very little about park skis, so advice would be appreciated.
also I have some questions on bindings and setting them- I assume I'd want them center-set for riding switch, right? what's the reason to set them back or forward ? (-1, -2 etc.) what bindings would you recommend?
I want to pick up the gear used so I can get it cheaper, so I guess $300 would be the max I'd be able to spend.
thank you!
