I am looking at picking up an absolute killer deal on 2012-2013 188cm Moment Tahoe leftovers that I found for an outrageously good price at my shop. They probably won't last much longer so if you can get me some advice ASAP it would be greatly appreciated. But before you guys can help me out let me fill ya in.
I ride the ICE COAST only with one or two trips out West to Jackson's Hole a year. I ride 60% groomers, 20% bumps/trees, and 20% park. We hardly ever get any fresh over 3+ inches. So you are asking yourself why am I interested in a 96mm waist. Well I was thinking that the width will help in the chopped up crud and spring slush. I also thought that it would add some stability on jumps and rails. To be honest I have always been in love with these skis and I would really like to pick up a pair now that they are on sale. I know they will be slower edge to edge but I don't think that it would be anything I couldn't handle as long as they can handle the normal conditions of the east coast.
Just so you guys know the 2013 are different than the 2014 Tahoe's They have traditional camber underfoot, full twin tail, and only some slight early rise rocker in the tip. Whereas the 2014 is different with Mustache rocker (more early rise in both tip/tail, micro camber sections, less camber underfoot, and a smaller turned up tip in the tail).
