Dalbello TruFit Sport Custom Fit liners-- how to heat-mold at home?

Online it says they can be heated at a shop. They are labeled as "custom fit". This sounds like something I should be able to do at home though. How? And how long before they pack back?

You could just pm him!

But if you must heat mold at home you should either use a heat gun on low, or a hair dryer on high.
Or use your oven at 100*C or 212*F and maybe give them about 10 mins. You will feel them soften up.
I would suggest that you use tray wide enough and line it with baking paper or aluminum foil to avoid singing the outer material.

If you are anywhere near a shop, just go there! It takes not much time and they will charge nothing basically. Maybe you could buy something and ask if they can throw them on the heat molder for you.

Do not do them at home. Just take them to a shop. A shop can pad out your feet if needed add toe caps if required and check your footbeds are still working in this boot. Most shops won't charge too much to mold a liner but it will be well worth it.

Also wondering, does a bootfitter charge for "diagnosis" of a problem (telling me what I need), or just the solution itself (actual footbeds, pads, etc)?

Definitely echoing Tom on this point- take them to a shop and have it done properly. There is more to properly heat molding than simply adding heat. Having the proper pads and toe caps will make everything that much better. You just paid a bunch of money on a new ski boot, don't cut corners on getting the most out of the fit. Some shops charge an assessment fee, but usually just resort shops. Normally, if you are just looking for information, it's free. But i can imagine that if you have someone actually open up your boot and examine your shell fit etc, be prepared to pay a bit ($20-ish). Normally, if you pay to have the heat molding process done ($40-50) they will check things out anyway.
