So my college is taking a trip there for the whole weekend, but nobody actually knows what the hell the x games are, let alone ski. I've never been to Aspen and only have skied in the Rockies once. Is anybody else going? I'm just looking to ski some park, and watch a few ski events.

I was there last year. Ski Buttermilk while it's on and you can watch the slope events from the side of the course. If you want to watch the rail section you have to walk in near the top, but if you want to watch the jumps you can ski down to the side of it near the bottom.
About an hour before each practise session starts make sure you stand on the Athlete's walk (a road) down the bottom of Buttermilk and you'll meet ALL the pros. Or stand at the top of the metal stairs that lead up to the Red Bull tent.
At night the only event worth watching live is halfpipe because you can see the entire thing. Big air is a good event because the crowd goes off but you really can't see that much from the bottom because the landing is just so damn big.
