The toughest skis

I have a pair of Rossignol S7 Pro skis and I love them but im beating the shit out of the bases, i have 2 gashes that go to the core on both of my skis and alot of other ones that go through almost the entire base and pretty deep scratches all over the bottom from rails. Its sad to say but I'm most likely going to have invest in a new pair of skis next year. I was looking for a nice handling pair of skis that are pretty durable. I also have a summer setup so they need to be able to handle some punishment on year round jibs. I was looking at the line traveling circus skis because they have almost the same base size as my current skis but I need some opinions.

LTC's have a extruted base which isn't as durable or fast as a sintered base, as far as durability goes everybody says on3p is the best so look into a pair of filthy richs or jmos

I'm in the same predicament, I recently got core shots and delaminated my nice skis, then ripped the edge out of my backup beaters. Does anyone know how durable K2s are? Or would you recommend ON3P over them? ON3Ps just seem really expensive, used or not.

If you want durability, just get the ON3Ps. Seriously. Nothing else comes close. They literally have the thickest edges and bases you can buy from a factory without getting into special order crazy custom made shit, which would just be silly. There is no other competitive product in terms of durability IMO and I've skied a lot of indies.

The next closest is Probably Praxis but they don't use quite as thick of edges and bases iirc, so seriously, if you want a tough ski, just get an ON3P. You will never regret the decision, that much I can promise you.

My Domains have 2 edge cracks on one ski. Thing is I really don't go that hard on rails so I'm not so sure about the durability.. They're a sick ski tho!

my armadas are over 4 years old and have been trashed in the woods over rocks and branches and rails and the bases are still in great condition. i dont know how other people feel about the durability of armadas but my friends lines are nothing but urban beaters after 20 days or so and he hits the same stuff as me

Older armadas were durable as fuck but then they changed how they pressed them. Delamed all the tips in arvs in a season. I had really old thalls and those took a beating.

How do you know that they changed the way they press them? What did they change? What years are both skis?

This just seams really odd to me because Armadas are made in the Atomic factory for years now.. Those guys wont change anything unless it will make better skis..

Oh and I dont ride Armada or Atomic or have anything else to do with them..so I am not biased..

07/08 thalls I had didn't have any delamination or core issues. I got a core shot on them more than half way through the ski but the skis stayed together and the edges didn't pull out. I put more than 200 days on them before I gave them to a friend and they still don't have any issues.

11/12 ARV I have ended up delaming in both tails at about day 25 and edges were starting to chip. Day 50ish both noses started to delam and delamed right under the nose of where my binding sits. Shortly after the edge started to pull out of the nose. There is water in the core now and I'm waiting to snap them.

I'm disappointed in the fact that my thalls lasted so long but I pretty much killed the arvs in under a season. A season for me is about 100 days. They must have changed something for the arv not to hold up as long as the thalls I had.

Have to agree. Of all the skis I've owned my ON3P''s are easily the most durable.

my thalls have sustained almost 2 seasons of skiing almost park only. so nearing around 60-70 days on them.

Ummm..... I fucked up 2 pairs of jmos last year. Had the edge tear out a little then snapped the toe on the first set. Second set, heel piece tore out and ski delammed from binding to tail. That being said, jmos are a fucking amazing ski

Armadas are known for their durability, but Line Traveling Circus and The line chronic must be durable too. The traveling circus crew claims to use the same pair of skis for a entire year, whether it is the chronics or traveling circus. And if it lasts them a year, it would last most park skiers at least 2-2 1/2 years. I also have to say my salomon suspects I had until this year when I got a new pair held up really well for the three years I was on them.

The chronic? Yes, The TC? No

nobody on the crew even rides the TC, theyre all on chronics or blends, both way better performing and more durable skis than the TC
