Ruining base when scraping off wax?

Found out I have the next few days off work at the last minute, so in a rush I waxed my skis before the sun went down.
While scraping down my skis, I noticed the base on one of the skis was damaged a bit. Not like a core shot, more like the opposite. I could feel a few edges catching on the scraper.
Do you think it is possible to do that with a plastic scraper? Or was it most likely a result of a rail?

Get a stone grind to get it out?

Definitely a rail or rock. Scrapers are soft enough that they won't damage the edges. A gummy stone would work fine if you really care, but thy are park skis so they will continue to get damaged. Just let it go, it's what happens when you ski rails

Just use an edge file to take off any big burs then you can run a gummy over to clean the edge. If you ride rails you could also do a slight detune. It better to keep the edge good even if you ride rails a lot. Burrs and other damage will catch more so can be more likly to cause damage to the edge.
