Not too concerned about the flex, although if I had to choose I'd pick something on the softer side. A low swing weight is probably my number one priority, and I want a ski that's extremely easy to scissor with on rails
Future spins are actually pretty heavy. If you are really set on a light ski, go with faction kennedy's or filthy rich ON3P's. Both great and light. Filthy rich is a little rockered which could help potentially.
Filthy richs are a pretty good ski if you mainly want park I have heard they aren't the best all mountain ski but if you only ski park you will be fine.
Line chronics are a great rail ski, I find them to be really light and easy to throw tricks on, but I'm coming off k2 domains, and there a little wider to which I like
OP said he wasn't too interested in how flexy they are. The t halls are on the softer side, and they have a low swing weight. 2.5 edges are nice on rails and I have about 30 days on mine with 0 edge cracks
I have it narrowed down to either Domains or Filthy Riches. Anyone have personal experience with either of these? I'm leaning toward the Filthy Riches because of the good things I've heard about weight and durability
My friend has rode domains he kept them for a season he regretted buying them from the moment he snapped into them they were not what he was expecting they did not hold up either I have no experience with the filthy riches but I have heard nothing bad about them.
I wopuld not say either ski your looking at will be exactly what your after. You want somthing fairly narrow, mid flex and low swing weight. If you want to go ON3P maybe look prestor instead.
The Thall is a good call, nice and soft and pretty light.
The Punx would be good too, one of the lightest skis out. Also look infamous if you prefer a softer ski.
The Faction Candide could alsdo be worth a look.
From Line the futre spin will be your best bet, but its not a great ski, certainly not the same level as the other skis I mentioned.
Hope that helps let me know if you have any questions.
Why wouldn't the FR be a good choice. I would say it's an arguably better rail ski than the prester for two reasons: the first is that it's fully symmetrical so it'll have a super even swing weight for swaps and whatnot. Also, it's rockered, which will make presses, butters on, and surface swaps MUCH easier. It's also softer and more forgiving. I would take the FR over the prester as a pure park ski any day as long as I wasn't hitting jumps over like 50 feet (which I'm not). The prester will probably have a slight edge in terms of pure carving performance, but any time there's fresh snow, the rocker on the FR will be very nice to have.
I would agree its prob a better jib ski but the op said he wants a tech rail trick ski. To me that is big spins on and off and switch ups ect. For that a ski with full camber will offer better pop on and also be much more stable on landings. Now if it's slower jib stuff butters, surface swaps ect then a ski with some rocker may be better. So it comes down to what the op wants to do.
