The first time i rode Dirty Mustache was at 7pm after freezing rain on the first prototype death wish 184,
I'm 5'10 145 and as a native californian I hate ice and suck at skiing it.
Needless to say i was prepared to have a bummer of a night and run crying for full camber.
After the first run I was laughing hysterically because my preconceived notions about this camber and condition had been proven completely wrong.
As anyone who knows how to ski has realized, rocker in the tip and tail makes a ski feel wishy washy.
Camber is what gives a ski pop and energy when setting and coming out of an edge and rocketed or flat skis often feel/ even sound dead.
This may be something you like, or something you don't but this isn't about that.
Dirty mustache camber was intended to bring life back into a rocker'd ski.
With the addition of two pockets of camber before and after the binding mount moment was able to make a ski rocketed in the tip and tail that when on an edge feels like the control and energy of a fully cambered ski.
The frankenski in the past has been a small batch solution to the problems of skiers such as logan imlach and shay lee when using said ski on outrageously rough urban surfaces that would normally not slide.
I consider myself an advocate of this camber type and highly recommend trying it before discounting it's advantages.
I hope that created a more clear picture for you.
