As much as I want Wally to go and have his style showcase our sport I have to agree with you. He hasn't seemed to be putting in much effort or maybe he's struggling to keep up and he really needs to add something to his jump game. Gotta change up the dub 12 mute to back to back sw dub 10's. Still love his style though. It's almost as if he peaked a little too early for the Olympics.

Very unlikely ski cross will die after these Olympics. In the US it will, but it's not like they get much funding anywhere. It's very unlikely to die worldwide. There are more with way less popularity that are still going and in the Olympics.
The quota allocation is the maximum each team can send per event, per gender. These make up the Olympic teams per discipline. That's why US has 34 potential spots but can only fill 26 places.
Maybe Wallisch has no ACL as a reason to why he's not skiing so well, I saw Jossi Wells tweet that there are 4 or 5 guys out there with no ACL trying to make the olympics
