The new journalism program is awesome. Everyday when I log in and there are 2 or 3 new articles on the front page, it's such a relaxing difference to read (or even skim over) a few, get a different viewpoint on skiing (the article about skiing in Minnesota, for example), and get a professional delivery that isn't in the form of a video, nor holds the ideals of a large company like Freeskier behind it.
It is essentially a single blog, with thousands of potential writers, situated all over the globe. Each writer has their different viewpoint, their different upbringing, skiing means something slightly different to all of them. I'm reading something from someone who I might've some stoke with on a powder day on the hill, not some guy getting paid in a cubicle to create content. The content creates itself through members' creative outlet.
And that is awesome. Props to the admin guys, and props to the people who keep writing these articles. I will continue to read them.
