as a former racer i can vouch for the fact that growing up our east we had no "special privileges" or got treated any differently we trained on public hills and all of us racers were friends with the "park rats" we would even go ski park with them after we trained... there was an all-around better vibe between the disciplines than out west, although all the kids that go to my school are friends no matter what discipline we do once we get on the hill al the kids in there 5xl wu tang ts who barley can even hit rails and blaze up on the chair lift are pathetic this being said there is no better feeling that showing someone up when there dressed in tallts and baggy shorts in the park.
my 2 cents
