Thread moved to regionals

I don't mean to bitch but isn't the moving of threads to "the appropriate" forum overdone a little? I made a thread recently regarding mt snow, and after getting one reply it was moved to regionals where, surprise surprise, there hasn't been a single other reply
i expressed that in response to the PM alerting me of the move but no answer (understandably, i know you guys are busy)
it's just, isn't that sort of silly? it's no secret that there are shit tons of people that ski mt snow who never bother checking the regionals. obv this is apparent to you too because otherwise you wouldn't have posted the Loon NS gathering thread in ski gabber, you'd have posted it to regionals...
any thoughts? any chance of having my thread moved back?

I think the idea is that if all the threads are in the right place (like regionals) people are going to start using these forums because the threads they want are in there

that's a fair point but 1) that's a big change to institute and 2) what's gained that way?
it still requires more clicking and navigating and that's obv a super minor issue but the reality is, a few clicks will discourage internet users to not do certain things on a large scale
i don't think i understand what's gained by spreading everything out (or what's lost by keeping them together). for example, i used to be really up on ski gear but sorta stopped, and my decline in gear knowledge has been exacerbated ever since they split gear talk away from ski gabber (long time ago)
another example: splitting WTB and for sale/trade. how often do you see people succeed in WTB? probably almost never, because it's not likely people on a large scale are going to comb thru there on the off chance they see something wanted that they have...

well yeah I think the bst/wtb section needs some changes, but I'm pretty sure the sections there are there to reduce clutter. Can ya imagine what a shitshow it'd be if all the NSG threads ended up in SG?

well yeah that'd be a mess but originally it was way less spread out, i think it was ski gabber, non ski gabber, and like 2 or 3 others and that was that. in one forum i saw everything SKI GABBER related and it was nice
no worries though. any chance i can get my thread moved back though? it's just going to sit there and probably get about 1 response in the next month in the regionals forum...
