Okay so I was a little bored tonight and decided to take some pictures of my setup to give you some ideas. Mine is aluminium and rubber gasket material, 6ft of rectangular tubing and some 1/4" flat bar. Also took some pictures of my boot bag setup because this comes in very handy.
Haha, nope, I got the welders at work to do it, they weld a lot of alluminium so the welds look completely factory. I'm not bad at welding but I wouldn't show anyone a picture of it haha
Bungees and home made junk just dont cut it. You spend 5000$ on your sled and 800$ on your skis, so why cheap out and only spend 15$ to put the two of them together.
I have seen just as many broken skis as i have seen home made racks.
The pics posted above have the skis runnign right up along your seat, the make riding the sled very difficult, and when the ski is inline with the tunnel, they tend to make getting stuck worse.
