NS, I sincerely hope everyone out there is having a good season.
I don't want to complain - I know a lot of folks out there don't have it nearly as good as I do when it comes to enjoying my passion - but MAN am I bummed on how this season is going for me.
For the 11-12 and 12-13 seasons, I was out due to injuries. I literally went 2 straight seasons without skiing at all. Before those seasons, I was like 15, so look at me now: for the first time in my life, I have a driver's license, I have money, and I have skis, all at the same time. So I bought a season pass at my resort.
Well, now that for the first time in my life I can enjoy my passion for skiing, my resort is having one of its worst seasons ever. The settled snow depth is 26" (we are usually at 80-100" by now; our average annual snowfall is 260"). Winds have been crazy all season, constantly putting lifts on wind hold. Highs have been between 35-45 degrees F for about 3 weeks straight. The conditions are just slush 4 dayz and the tops of little saplings and weeds are sticking above the snow. Its bad.
Is anyone out there feeling my pain? I am srsly bummed big time :/
