I'm thinking about buying the 4frnt CRJ's, and I'm wondering how they handle overall. What's their best use? How do they do on powder? How's their turning? And how do they do off jumps? Would you be able to do 360s? Or are they not suited for any sort of tricks? Any advice would rock!
Seriously though CR designed them to be a versatile and playful big mountain ski, light swing weight and have snappy responsiveness. Super fun for hucking and spinning, ripping tree stashes, not so much in the park.
Any powder ski is gonna be a noodle on hardpack, they aren't designed for it. At least the CRJ is less than 120mm waist so its not too huge. My current ski is a 185 armada JJ, which is 115 underfoot and handles pretty well for the amount of rocker it has. Its still a bit of a challenge when you're charging steeps and trying to lay them on the edge.
awesome pow ski and soft snow but anything hard packed not grommed isnt the most fun....but i love this ski...skied it the last 3 seasons...got a pair of codys for everything else way too much fun
