Varys always has an underlying motive for all his actions so I would not be shocked if he was behind it. Same with the Queen of Thorns.

obviously everything points to tyrion....he has motive and opportunity, but it there's no way he could have, nor would he have tried to pull it off in that manner....in front of everyone.
part of me thinks it might be sir dontos (sp?)....aka the knight turned fool....because of what he said to sansa.

Remember when the Queen of Thorns went up to Sansa and started consoling her on the loss of her brother Robb? Well when she was talking to Sansa she said this…and I quote:
"War is war, but killing a man at his wedding…horrid. What sort of monster would do such a thing?"
But she said it with like that wink wink tone of voice like "yup I'm bout to do this".
Than of course, as you mentioned, when Tyrion was bout to give the cup to Joffrey she was like "go ahead" with her face.

Also upon watching it the second time…notice how when Jamie spills the wine at Tyrion's table in the beginning of the episode the foreshadowed again. Tyrion responds by taking his cup and poring out the wine saying "IT'S ONLY WINE".
Man I love seeing all the foreshadowing in this in hindsight.

you're right. after closely examining that scene, you can see that sansa's necklace is missing one of the jewels after olenna "straightens" it. jewel is missing on looker's right....sansa's left.

he didn't spoil anything that wasn't in the show.....you can see the necklace getting purged of a stone, and you can see the missing stone.....
and anyone TRULY concerned with possibly reading a spoiler probably shouldn't read about the show on the fucking internet because that's the only sure fire way to be safe....

Wow how wrong you are…and I haven't read the books but if you look at the episode again you can see foreshadowing that Olenna is going to poison Joffrey. Refer to my post above…the episode was brilliantly written and Olenna hinted at the fact she was going to kill Joffrey.
wish i had seen that earlier...could have saved myself a lot of time digging for the perfect shots of the necklace with the missing stone trying to confirm the theory....
Isn't it exactly the same vision danaerys had in the warlocks house? I kind of assuming it warns of the coming destruction in Kings Landing when/if she brings her dragons over. Once winter hits snow in Kings Landing is bound to be a thing. Kind of a the price is too high thing combined with a the real battle is not for the iron throne warning

If I were to make a broad prediction about the series as a whole, I see Jon Snow, Stannis, and Danaerys stopping their quarrels and saving the realm from the white walkers and whatever else is coming with them.

And still don't understand how the queen of thrones got the poison in joffreys cup, it was not placed on her table, Margaery placed it on her and joffreys table.

That's actually a concern, he told the producer of the show the major plot points for the end of the series.
Minor thing, but we already saw the undead horse when Samwell Tarley was still north of the wall and saw the huge march of the White Walkers going south. I'm not sure but I think the White Walker he eventually killed was the one riding the undead horse…but we definitely saw it briefly.
Also, the show has to eventually focus more on the White Walkers/Wildlings etc. They wouldn't focus so much on building up the plot with Jon Snow and the northern shit- perpetually warning that "Winter is Coming"- without it being a huge turning point in the plot. What I'm curious is the role that the young stark siblings will play. I think Arya and Bran are going to be key in how the series progresses…they've spent a lot of time developing there characters and I imagine they are going to be a huge part of this or next season…especially with all that is being revealed of Bran's abilities, and with Arya's seething lust for revenge.
I'm also curious what will happen with Sansa…I mean she seems to be the most psychologically punished character in the whole show- having to sit back and watch as the Lannisters continually talk shit about her family and her father's death. I think eventually she is going to lose her shit as she's basically just pushed any emotion down for the past 2 seasons.

yeah, i figured the two would eventually start to split due to the way the timeline gets kind of funky in books. always assumed they'd start to take more creative liberties to try and make it flow well for tv.
This is what is bothering me the most. The whole wall part of the story is just way too different right now. All the stuff with Sam sending off Gilly, the attack on castle black and Janos Slynt and Alliser Thorne being there. Actually Sam and Gilly weren't even present for any of the initial fighting at the wall either.
I'm a little pissed there's no Strong Belwas or there isn't one yet. Daario recasting is confusing for some and neither of them resemble the descriptions from the book
Both of Tywin's talks to Tommen and Oberyn were added and I agree that the casting was pretty shitty for Tommen.
I know certain stuff has to be changed for the sake of flow and certain characters have to be left out, but they're starting to change it way too much.
He is by far the best character in terms of those who surround Daenarys. This new Daario is nothing special but I was pleased to see the little knife he threw at the horse had a woman as the hilt. (The arakh may have had one too).
As for Tommen, he is gonna be Tywin's bitch. And yes pretty sure he was one of the Lannisters kids killed by Karstark. Super super super fucking awesome. Tommen shouldn't be 10
Really? It kind of sucks right now in the books. The Wall has basically epitomized the problem with how Martin has taken a story that was a fun adventure and turned it into a history textbook about diplomacy and running a garrison and dealing with petty politics. I mean Meereen is even more of a problem in that regard but the Wall is certainly like that too.
Dany's part they had to have messed up because they haven't introduced a certain character.
Who? Strong Belwas? He's completely unnecessary to the story. The only issue with Dany's storyline is that they already know Barristan is Barristan, so the events that are coming will just involve the other guy (trying to prevent spoilers).
I don't remember Tywin talking with Tommen like that in the books, perhaps my memory is foggy. I also don't remember him saying he would arrange a meeting with Gregor Clegane and Oberyn either. I remember him offering him a seat on the small council and to be on the jury to Oberyn, but nothing of meeting The Mountain.
This is just rampant fanboyism. None of these details are crucial, and if they'd been reversed (i.e. if the books had been written with these details and the show was like the books) you'd still be complaining about it. There's no reason that the way the show has done these things isn't better than the books; in fact Martin may have wished he'd done things differently after the fact and is using the show as a do-over. Not everything has to be the same.
I agree about the Tommen casting though. For one thing he seems a few years too old. He should basically be a child who is incapable of thinking rationally and is more worried about things like cats and what's for dinner than power.
What bothers me about the lack of Strong Belwas is that it enables the furthering of what I think is a stupid plot point of Grey Worm and Daario competing for Dany.
