Problem is, that doesn't work. When you are reading through a thread, it's very easy to read or glance at what is below it. There is no need to post SPOILER with "I will miss Ygritte. Found her so attractive" two days before the episodes airs. That ruins shit for people.

Think before you post.
I think that kind of posting is unfair to the TV show watchers. However, the spoiler button would be useful during/right after the show when people themselves have not watched the episode yet.
Additionally, it could help foster discussion about theories and such without ruining it for others.
.Hugo.Compare the book to the show in one thread, and just talk about the show in the other. How would that not work?
I am being cynical here so bear with me:
1. People would intentionally troll the show thread
2. People would start arguments in the show thread
3. People could get the threads confused
4. One thread would die out
It would take some active modding for 1-3, and just general interest for 4 to occur.
I also think the MAIN thing about this thread is that the reason it stays alive is due to the comparison. What would be talked about in the pure show thread? Speculation 24/7? Reviews?
I think the 2 threads COULD work, but I see bullet 4 being the likely outcome.
gRAPEFRUITBecause someone will always whine like a bitch.
There are plenty of message boards that are spoiler free, use those if you know this one has spoilers.
I stayed out of this thread till now because I knew there would be spoilers, so I dont care either way. I was just saying that it would work with 2 threads

Its a sensible idea, but someone will always have a problem with it. I think a spoiler code with mods deleting anyone's post who doesn't use it would be the best option. It's not like there is a lack of mods in this thread.
Barefootin_Fiendhonestly, there was already sooo much crammed into that episode, i don't see how they could have done an lsh scene and done it justice.
Do it justice? They simply could have taken out Ygritte burning, that whole scene was more than enough time to leave the cliffhanger that was LSH.

Really easily. It would have taken about 2 minutes. Brotherhood soldiers dragging some Frey captives behind them, some talk between them and prisoners about who they are and how they're going to see their leader who will decide what's done with them. "Beric Dondarrion?" No, we have a new leader now. Dragged before cloaked figure, draws back cowl revealing her face, and two raspy words: "Hang them". Scene.
and then have her fade into a distant memory since she doesn't really play any role in the story for quite some time after that one scene. there's no reason why they can't move that scene to a later episode/season other than to appease book readers.

Nah they could have her hanging Frey's for a couple ep's then mix in Brienne's story, it'll take off from there.
that sucks. her character is going to play such a huge role in the books to come. I mean Brienne bringing Jamie to her could go any which way, but I have the feeling he wouldn't be including all this in the books just as a way to kill off Jamie.
