Surface One Life for park...

I am trashing my 176 cm halo 2's right now and I'll be needing new skis soon. I was looking at the 189cm surface one life's as a sort of park ski replacement and here are my questions: Are the one life's good for park, will the jump from 176cm to 189 cm be too severe, how are the two skis compared to each other, and how will they hold up? Going from 176 Halos to 189 One Lifes will be a massive jump. I can't comment on One Lifes exactly but from my experience I love riding fatter skis in the park and will never buy a pair of park specific skis again. 176 Halos seem way too short for you and I think if you don't mind not being able to 360 swap pretzel 6 off a 10 foot flat box you'll really enjoy a bigger ski once you make the transition

meeks uses one lifes in the park.

they will be super different there's no doubt about that haha a skinny park ski like the halo will feel nothing like the one life.

for durability , a ski is a ski and it's not conceived to hit rails and slam against metal , they will hold up , but they will get beaten up

for your height 189 should work, the fact that ur previous skis were only 176 is crazy, im going to be getting the 179 one lifes for park, i dont have them yet so i cant say how much i like them, but i can say i love riding a powder ski in the park, usually all the weight is under foot because the tips have been lightened for better float, so although you cant do 4 swaps, u can usually still spin onto and off of rails, and i have found the larger platform under foot makes landing on rails considerably easier and when you land off balance there is still enough ski under foot for you to recover easily. Riding a wide rockered ski in the park made me fall in love with skiing all over again, and i wont go back to riding anything else!

the halo 2 is actually quite wide for a park ski but compared to the one lifes its a toothpick

well the 176 is 94 underfoot , I guess it's not skinny but you got my point right ?

I'm 6'1" and ski the 189's as my only ski, and I wouldn't have it any other way, they are hella light (mine are mounted with 155's) and honestly it is my favorite ski. It's a stiff ski the the rocker helps with w.e butter you want to do, they are playfun as fux and just hella fun to take Laos in the park with. I have Halo's/jo pros/arv's/and FR's and I choose my one life 9/10 times. Any more question just ask

Hey, I have a pair and have been wanting to take them in the park, i have 189's also I'm not advanced in the park can just do the basics but living in whistler so picking it up overtime! I was wondering what they are like on rails? I am used to 176 alpha 1's on rails! Which would be more stable or easier, I'm hoping to love them in the park so i can use them on every off day! I know the best way to find out is to go try but just wondering before my next off day!

They are light, but it will take some time going from a skinny to a fat ski, surface swaps for me were easier, I don't spin anymore then a 450 out and there wasn't really any difference there, after a few runs in my mind you'll enjoy them more. I enjoy my 189's a lot more then the 179's also bc of that redic rocker it has.
