These days I think liability runs the world. Adults should be responsible for themselves and the choices they make. The reason I'm concerned is because it gets me kicked out of good urban spots 9 times out of 10, and also because I have to pay $50 for wide brakes and wait to ski on my STL's because my local shop won't mount the Mad Flex binding on them like they are. It's seriously 4 mm that needs to be bent...I'd even do it after I leave the shop...but no. America Sucks.

i hate that stupidity people should be responsible for themselves. when i was in like 6th grade me and my best friend built this enormus tree house that was on this farmers property and we built it safe and everything but he made us tear it down because of liability shit. but a couple years ago we accidentally set fire to one of his grass fields because of 'fireworks'.

ok Liability is only caused by the american people, not the gov't(although they aren't makin it eaier) yes i know liability sucks and today in america it is crazy.. but w/o it a lot of things we wouldn't receive.. for example, liability laws hold wrongdoers responsible.. most high schools require liability forms to save ur ass from getting in trouble.. for example if u dont sign a liability form for a sport for example and u get hurt after school hours because your coach made u run and u broke ur leg... if you dont sign the form you're going to have to pay for all the hospital costs.. this way the liability is under the school district, and the school can use their insurance to pay for it.. without that form the school can claim that since u did not sign it u were legally (running by urself) even if u were on their property or not.. i mean yea it's bullshit but w.o it there would be even more lawsuits... w/e i wrote that like shit but i rushed it.. sorry

It helps if you start your argument with something other than a contradiction. liability does suck. take a look at the carleton rail jam that is happening this week for example. we had to go through like 10 officials and it took like 3 weeks to get everything cleared, and they dont even know what a rail jam is. even now they are being anal about which rails we use. its a royal pain in the ass.

Problem is, without said pain-in-the- wide breaks we would have skis flying all over the place taking out innocent kids who paid just as much as you to ski that day. It all just comes down to people not wanting to atke responsibility for their actions. If I go get hurt at a resort I'm sure as hell not going to sue unless it happened from gross neglegence. Like if I hurt because a chair falls off the chairlift then yeah that is something the resort should take responsibility for. But if I fall in the park and break my leg it's my own damn fault for skiing above my abilities. With mountain biking it's the same thing. It obviously very dangerous and if your gunna do it you're going to get hurt. It's not the resorts fault.
