Moment Vice Set-Up

Title says it all... My Moment Vices are coming in the mail today and I can't wait to throw on my Pivots and try them out this weekend. Question is where would you recommend I mount my binding and also what Din would you recommend? I like to ride the whole mountain as my park so I would say I ski 60% all mountain (East Coast groomers, some bumps & moguls, and some occasional straight lining) and 40% Park (30-50 footers, some jibbing & a few rails). My specs are listed below for those who would ask.

ME: 6' 1" 180lbs
Binding: 2014 Look Pivot 14
Boot: 2013 Full Tilt Level 1 (Size 28.5)
Pole: 2014 Line Pin 46"

SKI: 2014 Moment Vice 184cm
Dimensions:110-83-10
Turn Radius: 21m
Tip/Tail Rise:45/45
Tip Rocker:15/25mm
Tail Rocker: 20/18mm
Camber: 5mm
Weight per pair: 7.8lbs


I am guessing -2cm and 9 Din?

Also this is my first medium-stiff semi-rockered ski as I am coming off of very stiff full-cambered twins so what should I expect and prepare myself for? Has anyone actually taken a few laps on these sticks?

I would mount them true center but thats just the park rat in me.

Get ready to have lots of fun, Vices are super light and playful.

Your shop will set your dins when they are mounted. Nobody here wants the liability of having told you what to do it you blow out your knees. Also you clearly don't know anything about binding release settings so don't try to mess with them

Where you place the bindings are up to you, but I always ride a high DIN

It was worth just about as much as your post. You're right I didn't need to post what pole I use but seriously why bother. So much negativity on this forum.

I have the exact same set-up mounted true center. Sick in the park and definitely hold it down on the rest of the mountain real stiff and rockered. Great for skiing icy crud fast!

Good that's exactly what I wanted to hear. I was worried about the stiffness of these skis and with the rocker how they would perform on the ice coast. On occasion I do like to point them straight and charge hard so its comforting to know they won't be super unstable.
