Yes, I agree. They have an awesome job and should be grateful for gettin paid to shred.
But if you're intentionally wrecking a feature that someone has to shape/fix at the end of their shift, you are a fucking punk. Not to mention other skiers/boarders who paid to shred could have been hitting that feature..
our pvc tube was set up on uneven ground and that combined with -45C it cracked as soon as i landed on it. i just moved it to the side, leveled out the snow and it was like it never happened.
Yes. Just march like a nazi across the top of the lip for 37 minutes, making sure that your heel slams down with harder force with each step. It will not work if you do not extend your right arm in front of you for the entire time. After completing this, piss all over the lip. Let the piss harden and then the jump should be ready to hit.
From experience I know that park crews at some mountains don't know what the fuck they are doing
At my mountain last year they had a 50+ft jump that had a lip that went from flat to almost straight up in like the last 3feet. Imagine trying to jump out of a tiny quarter pipe travel fifty feet past the lip somehow and land on a flat landing that is only 30 feet long I'm no physicist but some how the math seems off. Anyways multiple people got hurt on the jump that are solid skiers and plenty of noobs as we'll but every park skier at the mountain told the crew to fix it and they didn't do shit for like 2 months and yet more people got hurt. Wiley miller and some rmu guys got towed up to hit the jump line and the most they did was a sketchy tail 5 because of the shitty jump quality. We ended up just getting better at rails for a lack of jumps but I definitely wanted to smash the shit out of those jumps. All you ns haters should shut up because you know nothing about where this kid is coming from and are probably spoiled because you ski at a mountain where the park crew knows it's shit and your parents buy all your shit for you
Don't worry, I completely agree with you. Some parks don't have the good fortune of perfectly shaped jumps, the one my friend got hurt on had a really steep lip 3-4ft high and it was hardly 5ft long, and the landing was practically flat, meaning any fall will almost certainly result in injury. Anyways.... The park crew just pushed the landings steeper last night and its really nice, but the lips are still way too sharp. One of the lips to a jump felt like I was hitting a steep donkey dick at the end.
@ T-Line two years ago, I was teaching a freestyle lesson in the lil instructor park they had and I went to slide a flat-box for a demo and I caught HARD on a screw on the box that wasn't fully tightened. It runied my skis, but the dept. head got some new ones for meh. I'm just glad it was me that got fucked up and not the student.
Last spring, my local mountain had a butter box they stuck in the snow so it was an up box, I was just buttering around on the box and it popped out of the snow. Essentially it became a see saw box, it was awesome.
