Hey guys,

   Im the Park Crew Manager up at my local hill, West Mountain in Upstate New York. We are fortunate enough to be under new management this year which means I'm actually getting a budget for the Park, unlike past years. We are looking to have some new features made. I'm just wondering what's everyones favorite features on their hill and if you have some pics to post that would be a huge plus!

   We have some regular features you would see at most mountains(DFD, Flatrails, Boxes, ect.) Im looking into getting a longer Flatrail, a decent sized tube rail, and possibly an S-rail. I would appreciate and am open to any other ideas or suggestions! Thanks! And may the snow be forever in your favor.

Everyone loves a nice jump! And we are working out the kinks on our 30' jump as I type this. Almost have it how we want it. Im looking more towards rails to be made. Thank you for the positive post!

Don't make an s rail imo.

Closeouts seem to be pretty hawt right now, not sure if that would work or not.Otherwise tubes everywhere :)

Slow Kink boxes/rails then a flat down, an elbow rail is always fun and closeouts are tight. Also go to other resorts and look what kind of features may be fun to you.

Tubes. all tubes. Big,fat,skinny,small

Single kinked rails are my favorite though i'm not a fan of donkey dicks

maybe get creative with the tranny along with the rails, wedges, etc. Big ol' hips, quarters, side landings on jumps, clean transition to rails and such. I feel like that makes a park really fun and flow well.

I don't care what anyone says, propane tanks are my favorite things. Surface swaps all day. The one at hyland is amazing, just hit it, and you're hanging in the air for awhile. Over-rotated trying to front 6, that was some major shit eating right there.

Throw a couple of natural features in there like large log slide or something.  They are cool and cheap!  Plus wood is easy to maintain.

Tubes, big fat 30 foot long tubes, great for learning new tricks on. Also handrails, Hubbas/ ledges and flat round rails. Also weird creative things are always fun.

Good to here that there giving you a budget! I'm 25 mins from west so I will have to stop is soon. I would love to see anything like an s-rail, rail gaps, and anything that you can get creative with.

A tube that sits parallel to the direction of the park with 4 built up sides so you can either stall or come from the side and slide or just use it as a quarter pipe thing

Interesting tap features and lots of DFDs varying in size are always my favorites. Get some tube rails and a little wall ride never hurt anybody. Quality not quantity.

Make sure your park has progression and flow. Also that there is a separate beginner park to keep gapers out. If you're pretty serious about working in the terrain park, look into cutters camp.
