Knee Braces Compatible w/ Boots?

I've been using the same knee braces for the past 6 years now that barely function and am now looking for a pair of new braces. The ones I had before would always pinch the back of my calves between the strap and the boot, and I'm wondering if anyone here knows of braces that don't do that. After doing some quick searching, I've found that Donjoy has braces specifically designed for skiing with the bottom straps in front of the leg as opposed to behind. The problem is my insurance will not cover any of the cost for knee braces. So if anyone has recommendations on some cheaper alternatives, please chime in and help me out!

CTI thread over. Take your boot and they will make the cast of your leg around the boot so it fits perfectly above the cuff

Thanks for the input but CTI's seem to be a bit out of the price range I was looking for. So far I can't seem to find any that are under $700, and I don't want to be spending ~$1500 for a pair of knee braces.

Go for Donjoy armor. It also comes in shorter length for skiing. And if possible get a calf pinch guard, it works really good with ski boots. Armor is not that expensive either. U should get a deal around 500-700$.
