The concept is pretty simple, I had an idea for something like this a ways back.

pretty cool idea, I can totally see how this would be useful for stuff other than action sports and a go pro, so you can see what you are filming easier and hold it all in one rig.

Looks like a simple 2 axis gimbal with iphone mount. There are a bunch of these gimbals out there already for quadcopters, some of which you can use stand along like this for 100$ or so. A real gyro uses spinning weights to create its own inertia. None of that going on here. Seems like they don't

I'm pretty sure its uses an electronic gyro and then servos for the movement. Its not a mechanical solution which is why I found it more interesting.
