This might not spark interest much on NS. But apparently the women's tour will be identical to the men's. As in, they get the same amount of prize money, they have to surf all the same locations, and they have to surf the conditions they're given.
I don't think they do this in skiing, so it'll be interesting to see how it turns out in surfing. I found the info in this article, and I got a couple LOLs, cause this guy just tells the ugly truth.
Not to mention, i'd bet female surfers are exploited as sexy symbols exponentially more than female skiers, so it's crazy this is happening in surfing before skiing (not to suggest it should or shouldn't happen in either)
If conditions are CRAZY, then sometimes comps are postponed, but they have to be fairly exceptional. So I wonder what might happen when the waves are pumping and not only the men are nervous, but the women are too.

2014 womans tour will be a dud
while many think the 2014 womans tour is an actual tour , I’m sorry to say you are wrong , its a lab experiment to see finally see how woman react when they have been put on a level play field with men , the fact that the woman will be receiving the same amount of prize money as the men in 2014 just goes to show that this really is just an experiment.
what will be exciting in the womans tour this year is that while they get as many events as the men which means they are basically men , means that they cannot moan about surfing waves bigger than 8ft , they will have to make due with what conditions they are given , which comes to my next trend in 2014 , the waves are gonnna be fucken huge for most events , so it might be more entertaining watching the womans than the mens
It'll be interesting to see if the 2014 ASP tour gets some conditions like these
