60-65 after tax for an 1/8th at any spot around denver.
the tax rate state wide is 25%, denver has a tax rate of 37%.
the price of medical has bumped up about 20% since legalization too, but you can still get a medical quarter for about 5$ less than a retail 8th.
hopefully after the first commercial grow cycle is available in march prices drop again, and competition should jump up once more retail centers get their licenses.
Side note: The excise tax disappearing would only affect retail price by about 7 percent, since it's a tax on wholesale, not the retail price. I can also find nothing saying it will go away after a year, hb13-1318 states that it goes into effect on january 1st, and the first 40m raised annually from it goes to schools and anything on top of that goes to the marijuana fund.
Good luck getting voters to get rid of a vice tax that supports education.
