Whenever im on the lift, im scared shitless im gonna drop my phone off. Any of you guys drop a phone or anything off? I also always see poles under the lifts.
get a firm grip of your phone and keep it so that if it falls it falls on your lap (if chair), I still think that finding a way not to drop your phone while on the lift deserves a thread right when hell freezes over.
I dropped a pole and glove at the same time, we were going over the back of the mountain so I had to ski down - into a pow basin - and walk back up... took me fucking ages and so much sweat
See I have one pair of gloves with leashes (Hestras) but my other ones don't. So I get used to just pulling my gloves off and I swear one of these days I'm going to do it with another pair and just drop them.
Texting on the lift is so scary because your hands are frozen and it could easily slip out of them.. Just make sure you're holding it with both hands and pray that nothing goes wrong
I don't have this problem... I go to the mountain to ski! Not to text ! Therefore my fingers stay warm, and I don't drop my shit! And sometimes I engage in an old fashion tradition... Actually conversing with the live person next to me ! But that's just me . Any others out there like me ?
Last weekend last season it was a wee bit nippy and I dropped my phone off the lift trying to snapchat haha. Luckily I dropped it where it only fell 15 feet or so into leaves, and I skiied down and only had to hike 20 feet off the trail to get it. Took a while to find but it was fine, no cracked screen haha.
After that I just focus on my grip more. It's scary texting with frozen hands but you can't ignore the lady.
Once I was riding on the chair with a friend and some ice fell off the underside of the chair and landed on his bindings, releasing both skis at the same time. He had the walk of shame to get them.
People drop there poles and shit on the tow rope all the time. It doesnt have a long way to drop but it gets run over by the line of people behind you.
