I have some hip join pain that is not super painful, and sometimes i get bad pain spikes. and when i stretch it out it really starts to hurt. I can ski but i need to take pain killers.
Go to the doctor. Preferably not just the ER or walk in, because they will just be trying to get you in and out of there. Make sure they pay attention to what is going on, and potentially get you PT, instead of just pain killers. Those arent going to fix the issue.
I had something like that. I thought it might have been a groin pull
at first but it was definitely something along the lines of a
pinched/damaged nerve. Never went to the doctor and it went away after a
few months. I thought it might be a herniated disc or some pinched
nerve in my back that created sharp pains in my groin. I kept skiing,
although I took it easy, and it resolved itself. If I fell on my hip, it
would flare up and it would really hurt to push or lift outward with my
leg. I'm not saying you shouldn't go to the doctor but if you think you
have something like what I described, msg me
I would take it easy for a week or two and see if it gets better. If it doesn't go to the doctor. If you think it's a pinched nerve in your back, I found spinal decompression exercises to be helpful, such as going on those inclined sit-up benches and just letting myself hang slightly upside down. It can take a while for it to completely go away especially if you keep skiing. I kept skiing and made sure not to take any big falls to my hip, and it took about 2 months till I could ski without any pain.
