Replying to Ice rails/boxes

so recently its been snowing pretty hard in my town, but i have no way to get to the mountain, and no pvc or any sort of setup. so i started thinking about making a box or rail out of ice. i would build a lip, then make a flat platform made of snow where the "box" would go. then i would pour large amounts of water onto the platform and i would wait for it so freeze. would this rape my skis? if this is a repost please drop a link to the original.
