Going to shorter skis.

So first things first i'm 5'6 and 125 pounds. I have the armada halos at 170. I was thinking about getting Head's The Show ski. I was wondering if I do get them whether I should go up to their 172 or down to the 163 and how much of a difference would I feel with each length?

My wife is your size and she easily rides a 172. Unless you are unimaginably weak I see no reason to go down to a 163, unless there is something you aren't sharing with us? 172 to 163 is a pretty big jump.

My girlfriend is about the same height and weight and her skis range between 159 and 169. But to be honest she finds the 169 too much so mainly rides her tst which are 165. So at your size I'm sure 163 could work fine.

The TST is not a center mounted park ski, it's not the same thing at all.

163 is a lot shorter
172 is just a little longer
if you liked 170 then get the 172

im 5 ft 7 and i can easily ride my 171 thalls, which are center mounted. you will be perfectly fine!

Go 172, the 163 will be to tiny

you will regret getting 163's! the jump from 170 to 173 is small compared to 170 to 163.

No but her k2 reveials are. It will totally come down to skier level and how strong the person is. My girlfriend would hate park skis in the 170 range.

Go longer. I'm 5'6 at 135 pounds. Skied last season on 168, skiing 189 this season.
